# Not able to run any app on a previous version of GLIBC (Ubuntu 24.04/Mint 22.3)

I’m trying to run the samples provided in [GitHub - alternetsoft/alternet-ui-examples: Code examples for AlterNET UI: a cross-platform .NET UI Framework · GitHub](https://github.com/alternetsoft/alternet-ui-examples) but even if i can compile them i cannot run them 'cause their giving me this error message:

`/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libm.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.43' not found (required by /home/crisim/projects/alternet-ui-examples/HelloWorldSample/bin/Debug/net8.0/runtimes/linux-x64/native/Alternet.UI.Pal.so)`

can you compile the .so files against a older version of GLIBC?

I really like your work, i have a laptop with ubuntu 26.04 and there it works OK, but I need to support older version of ubuntu (the previous LTS version at least).

I will try to build the Alternet.UI.Pal library on Ubuntu 24.04 and will post an update here once it is available. This process will take some time, as I need to set up Ubuntu 24.04 in a virtual machine, switch Alternet.UI to use the new wxWidgets, build new NuGet packages, test them, and upload the results.
